Privacy Policy for EyedeaLab e-cards
EyedeaLab’s general Privacy Policy is applicable to all its services. In addition to the general EyedeaLab Privacy Policy, the policies cited below are specific to e-cards which can be generated from www.EyedeaLab.com & ecards.EyedeaLab.com, including your personalized messages, attached photos or graphics, and other products. In the event of any conflict between the specific e-cards Privacy Policy and the general EyedeaLab Privacy Policy, the stipulations of this e-cards Privacy Policy will prevail.
When You Send An e-card
If you use the EyedeaLab Site to send an online greeting or any other content, EyedeaLab may collect your email address and your recipient’s email address. This information is necessary to send the content and provide confirmation that it has been received. EyedeaLab will not use your recipient’s email address for any purpose other than to send the e-card. EyedeaLab may also use your email address to contact you if you have chosen to receive communications from EyedeaLab.
Personalizing Your Experience on the Web Site
EyedeaLab tries to personalize your experience by tracking e-cards and other content you have sent and gifts you have downloaded in order to shape its recommendations about the e-cards and other content that might be of interest to you. EyedeaLab also examines customer traffic patterns and web site usage with the purpose of enhancing the design and layout of the site and making it easier to navigate.
Privacy of e-card Information
EyedeaLab treats all of its e-cards as private correspondence between the sender and the recipient and will not disclose the contents of any e-card other than to the intended recipient, except under the specific situations outlined in Disclosure Exceptions, below.
This policy applies to all aspects of the EyedeaLab e-cards, including your personalized messages, attached photos or graphics, and other products. Under normal circumstances, EyedeaLab will not monitor or edit the contents of the online greetings you send. On occasion, however, EyedeaLab may need to view your message in connection with the technical processing of your e-card or the maintenance of its network.
Disclosure Exceptions
Notwithstanding the above policies, EyedeaLab reserves the right to disclose your personal information to appropriate third-parties if it is required to do so by law or if EyedeaLab believes that such action is necessary:
* To comply with legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order;
* To protect EyedeaLab’s rights and (intellectual) property;
* To investigate reports of users sending material using a false email address or users sending harassing, threatening, or abusive messages;
* To protect against misuse or unauthorized use of its website and/or the EyedeaLab Services; or
* During emergencies, such as when EyedeaLab believes someone’s mental or physical safety is at risk.
